Clinical Use

Chipcare’s game-changing in-vitro diagnostic point-of-care platform utilizes proprietary optical and bead-based technologies with the unparalleled ability to provide a differential diagnosis, enabling test-and-treat capability in a convenient setting, improving patient outcomes.

This compact and portable platform will serve to inform effective medical treatment within 30 minutes by testing for multiple disease targets or markers simultaneously using a single disposable cartridge.

The cartridge design will accommodate expansion of the test menu over time, including for pandemic outbreaks and other emerging infectious diseases.

Initial Focus

Chipcare’s initial focus is on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Antimicrobial Resistance in North America and Europe, enabling Healthcare Professionals to diagnose and prescribe the right treatment in a single visit, significantly enhancing the overall quality of patient care.

What is the Problem?

Current Testing Process

Current point-of-care (POC) tests do not provide adequate differential diagnosis for infectious diseases while centralized laboratories require days to do so.

When samples are sent to centralized laboratories, clinicians report that as many as 3 out of 4 patients cannot be reached, do not follow up and may be lost to treatment due to the delay between sample collection and obtaining test results.  Some patients remain sexually active which potentially increases the risk of disease spread.

This may lead to:

Up to 3 out of 4 patients with an STI are NOT treated.

The Chipcare Difference

Using Chipcare’s platform, results from a sample are generated in 30 minutes so that, within a single visit, an individual testing positive can be prescribed effective treatment.

Using Chipcare’s platform…

  • Tests are performed on-site in 30 minutes

  • Patient treated immediately thereafter

  • Walk out with proper medications

  • Supports antibiotic stewardship

  • Minimizes STI spread in the community

  • Improved patient and public health

With Chipcare’s platform, all patients are tested and treated immediately.
